In our next episode, we will observe the 10th Anniversary of Dia:Beacon in Beacon, NY by asking people to interpret the reviews of the museum that users of Yelp.com have posted on that website.

If you’re interested, take a look at the reviews of Dia:Beacon on Yelp, and then check out the spreadsheet we’ve created listing the reviews and reviewers in chronological order.

What we’re asking is that folks record an mp3 on their smart phone or computer and email it to deadhareradio@gmail.com.  If you are interested in participating, but aren’t sure how you can do the recording, just shoot us an email, and we’ll help you work something out.

We want to honor the text and sentiment of the reviewers’ words, so we ask that you make your recording as clear and understandable as possible.  At the same time we really want to embody the life and emotion into these words in whatever way you see fit –  we’re thinking something like Ken burns meets Andrew Lloyd Webber

Texts will be assigned on a first come first serve basis and claimed reviews will be noted on the spreadsheet so that you can see which are yet available.  You are welcome to read more than one review, if you choose.  If you’d like to claim a review to read, let us know which one, and we’ll reserve it for you.

Deadline for submitting your recording is June 17th.

Format for recording:

Read the text of the review first, followed by the name of the reviewer.
